East Midlands Demolition, the leading provider of large demolition project services in the East Midlands, is pleased to announce that its new offices and depot will be complete by the end of the year. The new depot is to be built on land in the Little Eaton Industrial Estate in Derbyshire.
East Midlands Demolition has owned a plot on the Industrial Estate for some time. The move to start building announces that the company, which continues to grow as more clients take advantage of the care and expertise with which it dismantles even the most challenging of sites, is now ready to consolidate its position at the head of the demolition services table in the East Midlands.
The new Little Eaton depot is to cover 6,000 square feet, and will provide a combined office and storage facility for the company. East Midlands Demolition will be able to run its administrative business from the offices and store heavy plant machinery in the depot, enabling a continuation of the hands on approach that has seen the company develop into a major industry player.
Recent projects for East Midlands Demolition include the dismantling of a former Kodak factory in Nottingham; the dismantling of the old Derby bus station; and the levelling of the Clipstone Colliery. The company, which is committed to recycling as much of the waste material as possible from its demolition contracts, or of recycling crushed material into concrete using a Pegson impactor, harvested an estimated 230,000 tonnes of recycled building material from these jobs.
The Little Eaton Depot will provide East Midlands Demolition with a platform for the expansion that these successfully completed contracts have made possible. The company aims to continue its current rate of development over the next decade: the increased space and custom built storage areas offered by the new depot will allow it to keep its ever expanding fleet of top grade plant machinery in perfect order.
East Midlands Demolition has recently swelled its army of plant attachments and heavy duty demolition machinery, adding four more Volvo excavators in three weight categories; and a pair of dust sweepers. The company has signed on the line for 3 million pounds’ worth of new demolition projects in the next six months, which will take it nearly up to deadline day for completion of the new depot. Expected to take nine months to complete, the Little Eaton Depot looks all set to help keep East Midlands Demolition clearing the way for the future.
